This blog is all about my love of color and a new look for the Amanda James Gallery that I can’t wait for you to see in person!

We came back from our vacation and hit the ground running. Full of inspiration we took key influences from our trip and blended it with our own creative and colorful aesthetic to create a brand new look for the gallery.

We designed a new logo, implemented new paint colors, and established a fresh vibe with our love of color and recent adventures in mind. Below are some of the new colors you’ll see featured both in the gallery and our latest work:

  • "Maya Blue" - A unique bright azure blue pigment manufactured by cultures of pre-Columbian Mesoamerica, such as the Maya and Aztec.

  • "Marcus Garvey Gold" - Inspired by the Jamaican Rastafarian tradition, this gold represents the wealth of the homeland.

  • “Malecón Deep Pink” - The Malecón (officially Avenida de Maceo) is a broad esplanade, roadway and seawall which stretches for 8 km (5 miles) along the coast in Havana, Cuba. Our deep pink color is inspired by the colors of the vintage automobiles that drove along the Malecón.

  • “Grand Cayman Teal” - The color of the ocean water surrounding the beaches of Grand Cayman.

  • Amanda's Soft Pink” - A shade of pink that absolutely vibes with the new palette we’ve been working with!
