2021 Wayside House Virtual Spring Boutique Trunk Show

As we approach the middle of February, I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t thinking about where we were last year and how everything changed in the blink of an eye. There are a lot of comforts and support systems that fell out as financial and health concerns peaked. The stress of Covid has been immeasurable so for anyone reading this, I want to start by saying job well done. You’re getting through each day and that is an accomplishment. A lot of pain comes out when we’re in heavy times and that includes substance abuse.

It’s that time of year when the Wayside House is hosting their Spring Boutique Trunk Show. Due to circumstance and health concerns, they’ll be going virtual this year. I know it’s not the same. We live for shared experiences and Zoom just isn’t the same. With that said, the work this amazing group does is more important than ever. A lot of people are struggling to cope and feeling the pressure of substance use.

If you’d like to (safely) come together for this event, James and I will be hosting in the Amanda Johnson Studio a social-distanced trunk show on February 16th, 17th, and 18th from 10am-4:30pm. 20% of all proceeds (including custom framing) will be donated to the Wayside House and their mission. If you’re unable to make it but want to support Wayside, you can go to amandajohnsonstudio.com and shop any of those days and the same 20% of each sale will be donated.
